That’s Steve Jobs social security number, from the FBI’s files on Steve Jobs released today. I’m a supporter of the Freedom of Information Act, but I think it’s in everyone’s best interest if dossiers like this one are kept need-to-know, even after the subject’s death. The 191 pages include quite a bit of private, personal information about Jobs, his family, and his friends.

Some of the information could be damaging to people who are still living, like his family, and to his legacy. It’s a fascinating read, anyway.
