A quick addendum to Stealing Your Address Book

For my recent article Stealing Your Address Book, I reached out to 15 developers of popular iOS apps and discovered that 13 had enormous contacts databases. I need to add two things:

First, all of the developers I reached out to have social apps with a “find friends” flow.

Second, for obvious reasons, I promised the developers I reached out to that I would never reveal who they are. Many of them have, since last week, changed their practices.
